Join the Corton House team

Fancy a career in care?

If you have a real passion for care then we would love to hear from you. We are always on the look out for enthusiastic and skilled individuals to join the Corton House family.

You don't need lots of experience - we can provide training - but you do need to be kind, warm and empathetic, and committed to looking after residents as if they were a member of your own family.

You'll also need to be resilient and calm under pressure. Care work can be demanding, but we'll provide all the support you need to thrive in one of the most rewarding jobs out there.

Work somewhere...

Feel-Good

We’re a not-for-profit, in care for the right reasons: no greedy shareholders, just everyone working together, guided by our voluntary Board of Trustees, with the vision of giving excellent, loving care to those who call us home.

We’re looking beyond our own four walls too as we build connections with other charities, groups and individuals in the wider local area, with community projects dedicated to improving the lives of all older people who use our services.

Supportive

To put it simply: we’ll look after you, so you can look after our residents.

We recognise that staff who are worried about putting food on the table or paying bills will be stressed and distracted, and unable to give the dedicated level of care that we pride ourselves on at Corton House. We are an accredited Living Wage employer, with other benefits including:

  • Occupational sick pay after probation
  • Training and development opportunities with peer support and funding: opportunities to gain your Care Certificate, Level 2 Diploma
  • Free uniform and parking
  • Subsidised, low-cost meals
  • Paid breaks
  • Health and Wellbeing programme
  • Generous pension and Life Assurance

Innovative

Over 70 years ago we were hailed as pioneers in the field of care for the elderly, and we still like to stay ahead of the curve.

It's an exciting time to join us as we start writing the next 70 years of our story - and you'll get the chance to help shape our future through our regular reflective practice sessions, or simply by sharing your ideas and opinions with our approachable management team. We firmly believe in the power of learning something new, so we'll also support your personal progress, with various training and development opportunities.
