A real treat was had in April with Emma Nuule, an accomplished opera singer, performing classical and West End favourites – she had a cold but, like a true professional, carried on.

Also in April the residents were thrilled by their surprise visitors from Wild Touch who turned up with various animals for us to enjoy. The star of the show was Marnier, a very cheeky crow, who strutted around the Myers Lounge enjoying biscuits and a cup of tea! The barn owls were wonderful, especially the three-week-old baby all fluffy and white. Some residents and staff overcame their fear of birds and snakes although the nine-foot snake proved  too much for some! A hedgehog and various lizards were also taken around for people to hold.
